The Chevrolet Blazer is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by General Motors brand Chevrolet. The vehicle went into production in December 2018 and sales began in January 2019 as a 2019 model.

The Blazer nameplate, whose history dates back to 1969 when it was introduced as a two-door large SUV, was introduced to the public in Atlanta on June 21, 2018 as a mid-size crossover SUV that will be slotted in between the compact Equinox and the 3-row full-size Traverse.

It will serve as a counterpart to the GMC Acadia in the mid-size crossover SUV segment and will be built on the same platform as the Acadia. The vehicle’s design will detail a sporty-style look that takes its cues from the Camaro but will have a crossover SUV feel.

HISTORY

Chevrolet Blazer (and GMC Jimmy) can refer to one of several SUV models from General Motors:

• Every 7,500 miles:

At this interval, your Chevrolet mechanic should rotate tires, inspect brake pads and engine air filter, and following the Engine Oil Life System, change the oil and oil filter as necessary.

• At 22,500 miles:

Many of the same tasks as seen at 7,500 miles are repeated here, but they are joined with a replacement of the passenger in-cabin air filter.

Oil changes and tire rotations continue through the 30,000- and 37,500-mile range.

• At 45,000 miles:

It’s time for another oil and oil filter change, along with a tire rotation. But Chevrolet changes it up a bit, by adding a replacement of the in-cabin air filter, and an inspection of the evaporative control system. They wrap this service up by replacing the engine air cleaner filter, and a replacement of the rear axle fluid, if your car is equipped with a Limited-Slip Differential.
